A Review of Risen Solar Panels

SolarKobo Score: 4.0/5

Manufacturer's Profile

The makers of Risen solar panels, Risen Energy Co. Ltd is a Chinese company headquartered in Ningbo City, Zhejiang, China. It was founded in 1986. Risen Energy started manufacturing solar modules in 2002 and by 2022, it had a total annual market production capacity of 22.1GW and had joined the ranks of the world's largest solar panels manufacturers.

Risen manufacture nearly all it solar panels in China but have with an additional production facility in Vietnam and eleven offices across Europe, USA, Japan, India, Mexico and Australia.

Bloomberg ranks Risen Energy as a Tier 1 solar panel company. The globally renowned PV Evolution Labs certify Risen as a Top Performer.

Cell Technology

Risen uses the traditional solar panel technologies, alongside the advanced Heterojunction intrinsic thin-layer (HJT) with the bifacial technology to boost the efficiencies of their panels up to 20.5%. Also, the panels use N-type solar wafers instead of the more common Boron-Oxygen pair (B-O) to reduce the impact of LID.

Types of Risen Solar Panels

Jager Plus Series

The Risen Jager Series is a new generation solar panels with efficiency ratings that reach up to 21.0% and 455W. The high-efficiency mono-crystalline cells used in the manufacture of these panels incorporate a two-side-stack-passivation technology, SE (Selective Emitter) technology, low-temperature firing technology and enhanced current injection technology.

Risen also offers bifacial panels in this series alongside an all-black option.

Sieger Series

The Sieger Series feature two solar panels; the Sieger 120-cell Heterojunction Intrinsic Thin-Layer HJT Bifacial Module and the Sieger 144-cell Heterojunction Intrinsic Thin-Layer HJT Bifacial Module.

Titan Series

Launched in 2021 and incorporating the latest 20mm cell technology, Risen's Titan Series panels have a range of solar modules from 390W to 550W and efficiency ratings up to 21.7%. All the panels in this series are made from PERC, half-cut silicon cells with the number of cells each solar panel has ranges from 110 to 150 cells.

This series features an all-black option.

Risen covers four of the newly released solar panels in Titan Series with a 25year product warranty, while the other panels in this series are covered by a 15-year.

Hyper-ion Series

Risen's hyper-ion is a 132-cell HJT monocrystalline module rated 675-700W and 22.5% efficient. The Hyper-ion series would make Risen the first company worldwide to be granted TÜV SÜD certification for the 210mm high-efficiency HJT panel product with ultra-thin wafer.

The Hype-r-ion series utilizes passivation technology to achieve an open voltage above 750mV and HJT thin cells with a 30% lower carbon value compared to PERC, as stated by Risen. Additionally, the carbon footprint is minimized by using a high-strength steel alloy frame.

Warranty

Risen solar panels come with a 15-year product warranty, which exceeds the industry standard of 10-12 years and a 25-year linear performance warranty. Risen recently introduced a 25-year product warranty for four of their newer solar panel models.

Words that describe Risen Solar panels:

High-quality, Reliable, next-gen, powerful, Chinese, sophisticated, aesthetically-pleasing, high-performance--and average-priced.
