Overview

Bluegate inverters are manufactured by an American consumer electronics company, Bluegate World. Bluegate inverters enjoy a good reputation in the Nigerian alternative power systems market and among dealers, technicians and users. However, known for their durability and ability to function in highly volatile and rough power environments, they are relatively costlier than other brands.

General Description

• Blue Gate inverters are pure sine wave hence appliances do not make a continuous humming sound and produce relatively less heat.

• Unlike generators, they emit no gases and are pollution free.

• They also have displays that show the state of the inverter and batteries.To monitor important information about the inverter performance – charging, battery level, system on/off, output level, etc.

• They also have LCD for Battery Level & Load Levels with Bar Graph.

• Most of the inverters have dual use; they can be used as inverters or as UPS.

• They can be charged from grid power or off-grid solar panels.

• They have a hybrid inverter range that uses both grid power and solar panels depending on availability. Their hybrid inverters are able to intelligently adjust itself to either grid power or power from solar panels.

Battery and Appliance Protection Features

Bluegate inverters have appliance and battery-protection circuits and circuit breakers and microprocessor-based technologies to protect appliances that use them and batteries that power them. They are able to reset the batteries from deep-discharge, that is discharging below 80% and also short-circuiting when the terminals are mistakenly connected in reverse. Also, they are able to reset automatically when overloaded saving the inverter and battery from damage.

Home, Factory and Office Integration

While branded as ‘extremely rugged’, Bluegate inverters come in black and light blue colours that are meant to compliment interior designs for homes and offices. They are sleek, compact and elegant. The hybrid range come with rollers for easy movement. Some of the available models can be fitted to walls saving ground space. Also, they are durable for even more rugged factory conditions.

Warranty

Bluegate offers a full 12-month repair and replacement warranty at their Service Centres at Wuse, Abuja (Suit B10, Royal plaza, behind FRSC headquarters, Zone 3, Wuse, Abuja.) and

Port Harcourt (20 Ede Street Off Ogbunabali Road Port Harcourt, Rivers State.) Products under warranty are repaired free of charge and out of warranty products are repaired at a minimum cost.
