It was founded in 2016 by Peter Ojike, an industrial physics graduate of the Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State. Mr Ojike is also the CEO of Wavetra. Wavetra Energy has its head office at 15 Ajao Road off Adeniyi Jones Avenue Ikeja, Lagos State. It has another office at 445 Plaza, Nnebuisi Road, Delta State.
Wavetra Energy has installed solar and inverter systems for more than 2,500 homes and business across Nigeria.

Wavetra Energy Academy
Wavetra Energy runs an academy where it trains energy consultants and solar installers. Wavetra Energy Academy has solar and inverter training centres in Lagos, Asaba, Port Harcourt, Aba and Kano. Trainees are taught how to size, connect and install solar panels, solar charge controllers, inverters and batteries. They also teach trainees how to design solar and inverter systems.
Since its inception, Wavetra Energy Academy has trained hundreds of persons in inverter sizing with in-depth practical on the installation and post-installation management of solar-and inverter-generated electricity.

Wavetra Energy has a line of ready-to-use solar systems with LionRock™ inverters, Wavetra™ charge controllers and batteries. The system includes installation charges. Wavetra Energy also provides maintenance and repair services on its installations. It also provides bespoke and tailor-made solar and inverter installations on other brands.
Wavetra also has a small off-grid portable inverter.
